Stiva Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 Considering the cell match and the bumps therein were the thing that pushed Foley over the top and into the main event as an eternal, respected fans favourite, I’m not surprised Rollins doesn’t understand that. Quote
Jmare007 Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 So Bryan stays on Smackdown? Nice, more chances for the Roman stuff to continue to build. If he stays babyface I'm sure he's gonna have a 6 month program with Corbin that will have Kawada losing his shit Quote
Mad Dog Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 The more Tweets I see from Seth, the more I think he's just a dumb motherfucker. Quote

I didn't realize that this was a possibility Holy shit. Yeah, that would be really good. Not the 6 month program, but the prospect of a match between them would be great. Imagine having Gable vs Bryan, too! Quote

At least it's pretty much given he's a lifer, which mean we'll never have to endure him anywhere else, which is a good news. Does he realize he's killing himself as far as public image with the fans though ? I mean, he comes off as Brucie's level of office stooging. Quote
Al Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 It's a classic interview like Flair after Starrcade '84 or Lawler after Superclash III. It's also a complete heel promo. Quote

If that was Tyson's intent, he didn't convey it to anyone other than himself. That is totally the impression I came away with. He made a face after the first attempt. He was clearly playing around. KawadaSmile Posted October 15, 2019 Author Report Posted October 15, 2019 People who are well-versed in ROH's history: was this dude this much of a knob when he was Tyler Black? I know his mosh pit ritual was fucking ridiculous, but was he taken seriously as a top champ or performer there? Quote
Mad Dog Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 He was a total bomb as RoH Champion. He was seen as a guy with potential who could work but was bland. Quote

Then he was part of a really cool debut for Age of the Fall. That's all I remember about him in ROH. Now, I wasn't really watching when he was champ there, but I think one of the keys was that he didn't talk much. Quote
Mad Dog Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 I think the only champions that did worse than him were Davey Richards and Matt Taven. It's a super complex issue and a lot of poor decisions but they did ultimately have to sell to Sinclair during his big run at the top. Quote
Blehschmidt Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 At least he had a cool finish in RoH. Quote
NintendoLogic Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 On the plus side, Seth's latest Twitter meltdown did lead to the following riposte: Quote
C.S. Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 So, uh, Bischoff out and Yes-Man Prichard in. WTF??? Quote

Jmare007 Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 That was even faster than anticipated Bu bu bu Uncle Eric got this! Quote
El-P Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 Ok. So the question remains : what the fuck did Bischoff do during that time where he was "in charge" (apart from "being seen at the catering", per Meltz). Wow. Bischoff's legend keeps on growing. And Brucie in charge, which means Vince, really. Quote

C.S. Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 Didn't Bischoff move his entire family to Stamford for this? Wow. Poor guy... Quote
El-P Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 Maybe it's time to listen to the podcasts again... It sounds crazy, but at this point I would not be that surprised if Russo got a job for a week or two, since all they seem to know is the past and they promoted Smackdown on FOX with a clip focusing on Taker, Austin & Rock. Heyman has been fucking abysmal too so far, if the quality of RAW is any indication. The show still sucks and feels like a torturous slog to get through. Yes, you can point to little things - Cedric Alexander's push, the Kanellis cuck storyline, etc. - but it all gets dropped after a few weeks. So, either Heyman has ADD or the Hand of Vince is still all over the show. Quote
SirEdger Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 My best guess is that Vince got impatient with Bischoff not catching up to the WWE product fast enough and put Bruce in his place. I'm assuming that Bischoff might still act as a liaison between FOX and WWE but I'm only guessing here as well. Quote
