Matt D Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 This is obviously why Sting got betrayed so many times. Quote
kjh Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 More information from the Charlotte Observer, it looks like Ric hasn't been paying his taxes again: Ric Flair, meanwhile, owes taxes to the federal and state government. He has a federal tax lien for $237,436 in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties and owes the N.C. Department of Revenue $41,358 in taxes, penalty and interest. Quote
jdw Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 I wonder how much if that is left over from prior liens. John Quote
Loss Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 He's back. And looking like Joe Biden. Quote
Matt D Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 He's back. And looking like Joe Biden. Hey he's going to replace Johnny Ace as the VP of Talent Relations Quote
Death From Above Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 I thought I read that last time they polled the four major north American sports leagues (shortly before the election), the NBA and the NFL were slightly in favour of marriage equality, with MLB firmly against, and the NHL something like 90% in favour of (good old Canada). Canada and Europe vs. America and Latin America. Kind of easy to call that one in advance. Quote
soup23 Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 Honestly, I thought this was the best Flair segment since his 2008 retirement speech and I enjoyed it a lot. It also got my grandfather calling me on the phone to see if I was watching so that counts for something. Quote
kjh Posted December 19, 2012 Report Posted December 19, 2012 He's back. And looking like Joe Biden. And he's already gone again... I wonder if Dave got a friendly call from Jerry McDevitt telling him in no uncertain terms that Flair is not under contract to WWE. Quote
Childs Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 LeBron James gave Flair a shoutout as a godfather of "swag" after Flair attended the Heat-Bobcats game Wednesday. Quote
Ditch Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 Reid will supposedly be starting in All Japan next month. Hopefully he got his stuff together. Quote
Bix Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Just found this...don't think I posted it here when I first saw it, so... (For those who may be unaware, there's an epidemic of "Pain Clinics" in Florida that are basically drug dealers) Quote
goodhelmet Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Are there any news articles on this epidemic? Quote
Loss Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 100,000 matches? Do you realize how ridiculous a claim that is? Quote
khawk20 Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 100,000 matches? Do you realize how ridiculous a claim that is? That would be something like 10 matches a day, every day, for 30 years or so. (at least with my limited math skills and brain power at this time of the day it comes out to that....) Quote
Grimmas Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Not to make this political, but Ric Flair was a Jesse Helms supporter. I'm sure he doesn't support the right of gay people to marry, because he wants to preserve the sanctity of the institution. I tried watching his shoot interview, but after 20 minutes of talking about how Sarah Palin is going to change the world, I stopped watching. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 100,000 matches? Do you realize how ridiculous a claim that is? That would be something like 10 matches a day, every day, for 30 years or so. (at least with my limited math skills and brain power at this time of the day it comes out to that....) Wonder what the real figure is though. Can see it being as high as 10,000 Quote
El-P Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 And don't forget he worked 90 minutes match everyday in the 80's.... Gotta love those old carnies. Quote
Loss Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 By 1993, he was estimated to have wrestled around 6,000 matches. 10,000 may be on the high end, but I don't think it's too much of an exaggeration. 7,000-8,000 seems more accurate. Quote
BrickHithouse Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Flair might be close to closing in on 100k cocktails for his career: If he averages 5 per night over the past 40 years that's 73,065 minimum (counting leap years and these past 2 nights) and I would bet he has put away more than 5 a night on average. Quote
Death From Above Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 100 000 matches and he couldn't draw 90 000 to the Budokan once. Once again, Hulk wins. Quote
kjh Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Ric Flair to wrestle for All Japan Pro Wrestling in Tokyo on Jan. 26? Ric Flair & Keiji Mutoh vs. Tatsumi Fujinami & Seiya Sanada confirmed for Jan. 26th Quote
Yo-Yo's Roomie Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Ric Flair was all of history's great wrestling units. Quote
kjh Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 Ric Flair's Japanese in ring return cancelled due to health scare Quote
Bix Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 A 14 hour flight knowing he has a blood clot in his leg. For fucks sake. Quote
