cm funk
Awesome. 95-96 Horsemen Flair was one of my favorite runs of his ever. Him with Woman and Liz as slutty heel valets was so awesome.....and of course all the interviews with Gene

sek69
It's making the rounds now that the interview he was doing recently included to him finally admitting to his alcoholism and this experience being the one to finally force him to face the truth. There's probably a million things one could say, but hopefully this was the slap in the face he needed to finally realize his demons and face them head on. flyonthewall2983
What I hope for is that he backs those words up with action and enters a treatment facility. But yeah I can imagine a brush that close with death would make him realize that.
peachchaos
Along the lines of the JR threads, I sorta wish we had a different Flair thread (sigh). Seems like this will be a net positive for his life.
Matt D
While, yes, I absolutely hope that he genuinely and earnestly improves his quality of life and overall health through this, I'm pretty certain he's going to find some way to monetize the entire thing and work a bunch of people instead. Wooooo?
Jmare007
Here's the full Flair interview on The Lebatard Show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkZNIN9PN3o
The Chief
https://youtu.be/mHap7i3pYNg Ric Flair, closet metal fan is the greatest shit ever.
Loss
Ric Flair has lived the gimmick 24/7 for almost his entire adult life. I wish him the best, but it's a lot of self discovery to embark upon when he's nearly 70 years old.

Didn't Eddie Guerrero do the same thing but time he got clean it was too late for him?
NintendoLogic
Clean was very much a relative term in Eddy's case.
Loss
Clean was very much a relative term in Eddy's case. Very much so. He stopped using recreational drugs.

Victator
Clean was very much a relative term in Eddy's case. Very much so. He stopped using recreational drugs. I heard Honky Tonk Man try to say this is regards to Jake Roberts taking pain killers. But if you need them you need them. Those drugs exist for a reason. Loss
I already closed the Jim Ross thread and suggested that people start a new thread if they want a catch-all to discuss him. That thread was never intended to be that. This was also never intended to be a Ric Flair catch-all thread, so my response would be the same here. flyonthewall2983
I do think this should stay open, in order for the discussion about his 30 For 30 which will cover a lot of sigh-worthy things I'm sure.
khawk20
I'd just start a new one when the 30 for 30 drops. "Ric Flair: 'Sigh', Part 2: The 30 for 30 Thread"
flyonthewall2983
I liked it. The revelations for me were more personal since it's otherwise just a Reader's Digest version of his career, which is to be expected because this film is aimed at a wider audience. Hogan saying that he's nowhere near as talented as Ric was a bit of a surprise.
