Infinit
I think what happened was that Harley ended up shooting on Magnum or something like that at the Omni show, which was the night that episode aired. Harley was let go after that. It was brought up on Wrestling classics a couple days ago. Edit: Harley was asked to do a 30 second job to Magnum and Harley took liberties on Magnum in the ring. It was at the 1/4/86 Greensboro show.
MikeCampbell
I wish they'd correct their mistake and list that one episode of WCW correctly!
Jimmy James
So if they can add all this great territory footage, why can't I relive the glory days of 1999 Nitro yet?
dexstar
So here's the survey they sent out a while ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/wwe_network/comments/3oin4c/the_old_wwe_network_survey/ Which seems to cover all of these uploads

victory
Well I signed back up. It seems like all the AWA stuff uploaded has Michaels ( Rockers) in it, SMW has Jericho ( Thrillseekers) , WCCW has Warrior and MSW has Duggan in at least 2 of the 3 shows. Hopefully they aren't just showing episodes with what they see as former WWE superstars. Either way pretty cool and it's nice to actually see some AWA without the ESPN crawl at the bottom. khawk20
First episode of AWA on ESPN just got uploaded. My heart is exploding. So is KHawks. My heart explosion is being saved for if they go back to 70's and 81-83 TV uploads. This is very encouraging though.

hammerva
I saw the 1981 AWA that they included on WWE Classics on Demand. Unless you are a fan of 2 out of 3 fall squash matches and shows without promos, you aren't missing anything
WingedEagle
They will base that on the number of views each episode gets, which is why I have it going in another window on my laptop right now while I do other things. Yep, doing my part and streaming something on mute all day at work. Can't watch but hopefully they note the numbers.
Eduardo
They added 3 more SMW episodes, 1 more WCCW episode, and 1 more NWA episode this morning.
flyonthewall2983
Unless you are a fan of 2 out of 3 fall squash matches and shows without promos, you aren't missing anything How can that kind of match be considered a squash match? Jobbers actually won in the AWA?
hammerva
Easily. You beat the crap out of the opponent in the first fall and then you beat the crap out of him in the 2nd fall. A few times the jobber would get a small bit of offense but nothing like in Crockett. I know it is early but something tells me we aren't going to get periodic TV from this stuff. it is going to be "let's show best of Shawn Michaels in AWA" or "let's show best of Chris Jericho in SMW". Maybe eventually it will get to all the shows

I have the sound on just so I can here the promos. Nobody has walked into my office today while it was playing, so I didn't have to explain what it was yet. clintthecrippler
AWA Superstars 2/28/88 begins with Larry Nelson drunkenly rambling about how uncomfortable his orthopedic chair is. An offscreen female voice yells at him, at which times he realize that the maker of the chair may be a sponsor of the TV show. One of the most bizarre and nonsensical openings to a wrestling TV show ever, yet I'd still rather have that begin a show than any 20-minute monologue put together by WWE's current creative team. This is absolutely true. And not because anyone wants some weirdo rambling on their wrestling tv show. We just want something different then the exact same formula that's been used week in and week out for nearly 2 decades now. Creating stars is one thing, but simply changing the television formula -- to practically anything that doesn't resemble the current product outside of the matches -- would help. It almost doesn't matter which direction they take it. Just make it different.

hammerva
Yep now they are putting on stuff time to the Blade Runners of Sting & Warrior. Hopefully it shows lots of Sting stuff feuding with Gilbert Watched the First Look on the Owen documentary and it looked pretty good. Love the story of how Owen took care of the livestock for the Triple H vs Henry Godwin Hog Pen Match and put it in Vince's office first
dexstar
There's an empty category up now for Stampede. We're getting exactly what was in that survey in the link I posted last night. I don't think this will be the end of the territory stuff, I think it's just going to come in batches like this over the years. Judging by the order stuff from the survey has gone up I'm also guessing these territory shows were the least popular ones of the choices offered since all the other options (except HHH-Era Raw 2000) is already up. sek69
It's funny watching rookie Rob Rechsteiner being referred by his last name constantly in one of the PPW shows and my brain thinking they're saying "Rick Steiner" over and over. Also, holy shit the Blade Runners were jacked even more than Sting and Warrior would be at any point after. Also x 2 man does Joel Watts suck on commentary. It's like if David Crockett took a Xanax. sek69
Amazingly while typing that last post Joel just mentioned the Blade Runners' aggression being a "steroid effect" which just confirms my last two points.
goc
Amazingly while typing that last post Joel just mentioned the Blade Runners' aggression being a "steroid effect" which just confirms my last two points. Steroids were not illegal until 1990 and weren't really a secret in the territories. Hercules openly referred to doing steroids in at least one promo in Mid-South and Phil Hickerson talked shit about the Blade Runners in their Memphis run saying the only thing they knew how to do was "pull them britches down and put them steroids in that booty"
TravJ1979
How many matches did Shawn Michaels have before that match with DiBiase that was uploaded? He started in October 1984 and the first Mid South match I have for him is a Tag match that month. Would that be the earliest of his matches available or is that match with Art Crews on tape? sek69
I realize steroids were legal then, but mentioning them usually not something done by the announcers.
